Hong Kong, November 2025 - Nama Fiji is proud to announce that Founder and Director Debra Sadranu delivered the lead keynote at the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit Asia, held 10–11 November in Hong Kong. Her keynote, “Building a Sustainable Brand”, positioned Nama Fiji alongside major global beauty brands, including L’Occitane Group, Weleda, and Lush.
“It was an incredible honour to share Nama Fiji’s journey on a global stage alongside some of the most inspiring leaders in sustainable beauty,” said Debra Sadranu.
“Our mission has always been to create skincare that is not only effective but deeply respectful of people, communities, and the environment. This platform allowed us to share our story and inspire others to think differently about sustainability.”
Leading Sustainability in Skincare
Debra shared how Nama Fiji evolved from establishing the CIDESCO-accredited Spa Academy Fiji to becoming an internationally recognised, EU-licensed skincare brand rooted in thalassotherapy. Highlights of her keynote included:
Seaweed-Based Skincare: Formulating spa and skincare products using wild-harvested nama seaweed (Caulerpa racemosa).
Sustainable Harvesting: Empowering local women in the Yasawa Islands through regenerative, eco-conscious harvesting practices.
Global Distribution: Scaling Nama Fiji internationally while prioritising ethical sourcing and social impact.
Sustainability Initiatives: Eco-friendly packaging, local production, and community-focused programs.
A Global Stage for Pacific Innovation
Nama Fiji’s keynote highlights the brand’s position at the forefront of sustainable beauty, demonstrating how Pacific Island innovation, ethical sourcing, and community empowerment can resonate globally. By transforming locally harvested sea grapes into high-performance skincare, Nama Fiji showcases a model for ethical, environmentally responsible beauty that benefits both people and the planet.
